First attempt at the so-called ‘dark-field method’ from the book Lighting, Science and Magic. Highly recommended to anybody who cares about anything photography related and takes it the slighest bit serious.

I like this shot. I was on my way to class at Ryerson and was walking through Dundas Square, and there was a free concert (Divine Brown) going on. These kids clearly weren’t interested in the music…

Man, why do cameras and gadgets have to be so expensive? Of course, the reward upon saving up for whatever I plump down the cash for eventually will be well worth the wait, but when you don’t/can’t work very much, the wait as you save is something else.

But, at the end of it…maybe a 400D? D40x? We’ll see…

Currently listening to: Arcade Fire - Windowsill.

The more I listen to Neon Bible, the more I like it. It’s been out for a couple months now, so alot of the hype has gone down, but the veritable explosion in their popularity is well-deserved: these guys make excellent music. While I’m sure it’d still be great to see them now, I can only imagine how vibrant and completely awesome their shows would have been when they were initially on the rise.

In other news, I’ve broken my wrist, which explains the lack of postings the last little while; I could still type and stuff, but didn’t really have any new content. But, now I’ve gotten out shooting again, so this should become fairly regular again.

In other other news, I’m heading into my last year at UWO. After that, most likely off to Loyalist College for Photojournalism. Just a question of whether I go for the one-year fasttrack in lieu of my having a degree, or take the full two years…
